Which is the best brand of digital cameras?
In a price range from $100-$200…..are megapixles important?, is the zoom?…and do you rele care about LCD size? overall which brand produces the best quality pictures with the best features in this price range?

Sony Cybershot, Nikon, Canon and Olympus are the only brands I trust.. Other brands like Fujifilm, Kodak, HP etc are also good but NOT all their models, some of their models take realllly bad night shots..
Megapixels are important but anything more than 8 mp isnt going to help you much unless your planning to print out your photos on huge posters.. A CCD sensor as opposed to CMOS sensor will help in capturing colors vividly and brightly.
Whether you want zoom or not is upto you but I dont think majority of the people need more than 3X zoom. LCD size does not matter, the bigger it is, the more power it will consume so choose accordingly. It’s just to preview your pics anyway..
Try to buy a cam that uses conventional AA or AAA batteries.. Otherwise it will be too costly to replace batteries..
SD and MMC memory cards are the most inexpensive type so if the camera your buying supports those its better.
